I had planned to open this bottle in Newcastle, but in fact opened it in York. Christmas is exhausting with all the hithering and thithering it involves, and Wednesday was my parents' turn. This was one of the early bottles open, and by the time we got to
Jonathan Creek I was really rather drunk. Mom cooked a hearty dish involving beef, ham, swiss cheese and onion sauce. It is lucky there were no militant vegans in the room.
